Kampong Cham Provincial Police Confirmed The Case of Speeding Car

Kampong Cham: The Kampong Cham Provincial Police on December 19 clarified a Facebook post, posted by account owner "Reachny Thida Sur," regarding a case related to a speeding car the police had pulled over to educate and fine him.

The clarification we made after the Kampong Cham Provincial Police saw a Facebook post by account owner "Reachiny Thida Sur" about his dissatisfaction with the traffic officer who stopped his car for speeding (86 km/h) while he was driving at only 30 km/h as the speed limit is 60 km/h.

The owner of the Facebook account, "Reachny Thida Sur," posted a message on his Facebook page claiming that he had been fined 150,000 riels by traffic police officers and had two points taken from his driver's license. However, when "Reachiny Thida Sur" allowed the traffic officer to check his car's camera, the traffic officer allowed him to continue travelling without penalty.

The traffic police officer deciding not to give him a fine, but "Reachny Thida Sur" was still unhappy and posted his dissatisfaction. Regarding this situation. The Kampong Cham Provincial Police explained that the traffic police officers stopped the car and showed him the evidence that he was speeding. The police did not issue a fine; they only educated him about the law on road traffic.

Currently, the authorities are searching for the identity of the Facebook account owner to clarify the case posted on his social media. The owner of the mentioned Facebook account falsely accused law enforcement officials with the malicious intention to seriously damage the reputation of the National Police officers, especially the law enforcement officers and will be held legally responsible.
